Sheila Nelson
Director of Construction and Development Accounting

Sheila Nelson brings to the World Jewelry Center over thirty years of experience in the building, construction and development industries as a controller and director during which she has built a formidable background in all aspects of project accounting.

After graduating from Marymount/Mt. St. Mary’s college, Sheila began her career working for several large general contractors such as Morse/Diesel, Perini Building Company and Whiting Turner.  Some of the projects Ms. Nelson was responsible for included: the Miller Company Brewery in Irwindale, California, Landmark II high-rise in Santa Monica, California, the Santa Ana Jail Facility, Caesar Palace in Las Vegas and The West Covina Mall Renovation and Expansion. Ms. Nelson also worked for the Walt Disney Company for ten years and controlled the budgets on such projects as The Anaheim Stadium Renovation, The Grand California Hotel, Downtown Disney and Winnie the Pooh and Forbidden Mountain in Florida. 

Prior to joining the World Jewelry Center team, Ms. Nelson led the accounting team in both the United States and Mexico at The Kor Group where she was responsible for managing the renovation of The Tides South Beach  Hotel and 15 portfolios including the Viceroy Mayakoba and The Tides Playa Del Carmen.
